Due to the recent media attention of Maple Leaf Foods and the Listeriosis outbreaks, more people are fearful of their food safety. This is one of the reasons many people choose to stay away from processed foods, eat more organics and follow the 100 Mile Diet.
Maple Leaf has been a well respected company for many generations but when something goes wrong with such a huge company, the impact is massive. Many people are sick and many have died because so many people eat food from this company. Because they package meats for many other brands, the problems aren’t even limited to just their own trademark which can hurt other brands as well.
Regardless of all of this, a good theory to follow is to minimize the amount of processed foods you eat and to maximise your health and wellness efforts so you are in a great position to be able to fend off any illnesses that do happen to come your way.
Tomorrow, we’ll discuss ways you can minimize food poisoning impact.

Dode is a substance that comes from the poppy and is an opiate. The problem is that it’s not yet illegal and people are getting as addicted to it as they do to heroin. There have been headlines in Brampton and Mississauga Ontario about the substance being sold in meat shops and consumed by those looking to stay awake. The problem is, it’s highly addictive and easy to acquire at about only $1 per gram.
Because the opiate % isn’t quite high enough for police to arrest people, it’s considered a gray area that’s causing quite a stir in the media. Many methadone clinics are seeing a rise in people using methadone to try to kick the Dode habit. Perhaps increased awareness will cause authorities to do something to make this addictive substance with the same risks as any other narcotic taken off the shelves.

All joking aside, beans are great for your health. They’re full of fiber, they are good for your colon and the more often you eat them the less often you’ll find yourself as..well..flatulent.
Even RealAge.com featured the bean the other day for their help in aiding you with building muscle. They’re high in iron so help you to oxygenate your blood and they are high in antioxidant value as well.
How To Get More Beans Into Your Diet
Beyond franks and beans, consider having bean salad a few times a week for lunch and eating chili more often as well.
Cheers to your good health!

The latest trend in smooth-as-a-baby’s-bottom tootsies is a pedicure where you put your feet in a tank and let little flesh-nibbling fishies eat the dead skin off your feet.
The prospect sounds gross and what are the health concerns? I would wonder this:
-How often is the water being changed?
-Are people told not to do this if they have open sores on their feet?
-Is it tolerable or would it be far too ticklish?
I’m not sure I could manage but then again I can’t stand my feet being touched. Seems to be a huge craze that’ll undoubtedly spread like wildfire. Would you try it? The garra rufa fish at http://www.yvonnesalon.com/ are the hungry cosmeticians. I wonder if they thought to negotiate profit sharing…
